Electrical Panel Fire Protection Solutions

Causes of Fire

Due to their enclosed structure, electrical panels (switchboards and distribution boards) make early fire detection difficult, increasing the risk of fires escalating into major incidents.

Loose Connections

Loose bolted connections or terminal degradation can cause localized overheating and excessive heat buildup, creating potential ignition points within the panel.

Insulation Breakdown

Dust, moisture, and other contaminants entering the enclosure can lead to short circuits and electrical arcing between components, increasing the risk of fire.

Overload

Continuous electrical loads exceeding the rated capacity can damage wire insulation, resulting in overheating and eventual ignition.

Safety Compliance & Value

SFEXTECH's solutions are designed to suppress the early spread of electrical fires that may occur in control panels, distribution boards, and switchgear systems. By minimizing fire risks at the point of ignition, they support compliance with electrical safety standards, regulatory requirements, and the strengthening of occupational safety and health management systems.

SFEXTECH Solutions

SFEXTECH protects electrical panels through an integrated fire protection approach that combines early fire-sign monitoring, suppression at the point of ignition, and prevention of fire propagation through cable systems.

STEP 1. Continuous Monitoring of Overheating with SFEX Detector

SFEX Detector is a temperature-sensitive overheating detection sticker utilizing Thermochromic Microcapsule Technology.

Changes color at preset temperatures (40°C, 50°C, or 60°C), enabling visual detection of potential overheating in cables and circuit breakers within electrical panels without additional equipment.

STEP 2. Suppression at the Point of Ignition with SFEX Line

SFEX Line is a rope-type automatic fire extinguisher designed to suppress fires directly at the ignition source. Upon exposure to heat or flame, it automatically activates at a predetermined temperature and releases the fire extinguishing agent.

Operating independently without external power or control systems, SFEX Line delivers concentrated suppression directly to the ignition point, enabling rapid extinguishment during the earliest stage of a fire.

STEP 3. Prevention of Fire Propagation in Incoming and Outgoing Cables with SFEX AP Tape

SFEX AP Tape is a tape-type automatic fire extinguishing device utilizing micro fire-extinguishing capsule technology, designed to automatically discharge an extinguishing agent when a preset temperature threshold is reached or a flame is detected.

Applied directly to cable connection terminals and incoming/outgoing cables, it suppresses fires at an early stage and helps prevent fire propagation. It also provides flame-retardant and electrical insulation properties, ensuring comprehensive cable protection.
